The background of the paintings was made out of gold sweat. Since ancient times metals have had a special meaning for people. And is not accidental that the artist uses them in his works. Gold and silver were endowed with mystical properties and identified with the heavenly bodies – the Sun and the Moon. Gold is traditionally considered a masculine metal symbolizing strength, power, might, and wealth. Silver is seen as the personification of secret knowledge, femininity, chastity, and purity.
